Street Cleaning
Street cleaners clean each side of each street once per week for a one hour period as indicated on the map. Some major streets are cleaned every weekday. During street cleaning times, no cars are to be parked on that side of the street.

Parking Permit Rules
Most streets have different rules for each side of the street and are labled for either "Residents Only" (labled as "r" on the map) or "Permit Parking" (labled as "p" on the map).
  • Residents Only - Only residents can park with a valid residential parking permit.
  • Permit Parking - Any time for resident and non-resident permits. 4-hour limit for any visitors without a permit.

No Parking Considerations
Please note special consideration for these areas:
  • Fire Hydrants - Most no-parking areas for hydrants are marked in yellow paint on the street.
  • Street Corners and Pedestrian Walkways - Technically all corners and crosswalks should be marked in yellow paint on the curb, however paint has worn off on some corners. Also, it appears as though more space has been created as indicated by white cross-marked lines. Enforcement of corners and cross walks adds to the mystery of parking in these areas so be careful as parking in these areas is risky business.
  • Bus Stops - Most bus stops are clearly marked. Parking in bus stops severely backs up traffic and is strictly enforced. Some bus stops do allow for night time parking from 9 pm to 6 am.
  • Handicap Spaces - Most handicap spaces are are marked in blue paint on the street and/or with a sign
  • Temporary No Parking Signs - Temporary no-parking areas can be reserved by residents or construction crews for special cases. These can be hard to see white signs with red lettering indicating dates and times of issue, and can be found on nearby telephone posts and buildings.
  • Garage and driveway entrances - Are not always marked clearly and can sometimes be unclear to see, so be sure to look for inconspicuous garage doors not clearly marked.
  • Double Parking - Double parking is tempting when running in for a quick errand, but do so at your own risk. This is hit or miss and only 1 minute away from your car can result in a frustrating but valid ticket.
